Our manual locking hubs easily save drivers thousands in dollars in fuel, repairs, and labor. Where constant 4WD wears down and puts added stress on front axle components, manual locking hubs provide drivers the option of disengaging their front wheels, reducing deflection load and increasing the lifespan of the front drivetrain, transfer case and sun bearing
To reduce labor costs, our unit bearing design use a pre-set, pre-greased, pre-sealed integrated bearing assembly, drastically simplifying installation and maintenance. By systematically eliminating extraneous points of failure, the unit bearing system increases the overall system life.
All 4WD vehicles can be stranded in the event of a broken front axle component. By allowing drivers to disengage the front wheels from the front axle, our manual locking hubs allow drivers to drive to safety regardless of broken front axle components. PROTECTING YOUR INVESTMENT
Protecting your hubs from the elements is half the battle when preserving the longevity of your manual locking hubs. Failure to protect your bearings from debris, water and contaminants is guaranteed way to compromise bearing performance and integrity. By using the unit bearing system LHC protects the taper roller bearings by enclosing them inside the hub assembly. This is a big improvement over spindle bearing hubs that only have a flimsy rubber shield.
SHORTEST HUB LENGTH ON THE MARKET
As an off-road advantage, our manual locking hubs are unlikely to be damaged by rocks, trees and other debris that might brush against the wheels. Our hubs can operate in “stealth” fitting underneath the original manufacturer hubcaps. Opposed to spindle bearing hubs, the outer portions of our hubs do not stick out of the wheel. The hub is set into the wheel further than any other aftermarket hubs to date.
HEAT SPACER CLAMP RINGS
On some of our unit bearing hubs we have implemented rings at the base of each lug. These rings or (HEAT SPACER CLAMP RINGS) are designed to lower the amount of heat transfer from the rotor to the unit bearing hubs. By providing less surface area for heat to penetrate, bearing integrity is preserved. Also, the rings (HEAT SPACER CLAMP RINGS) allow for greater clamp force per square inch, creating a tighter more secure fit
of manual locking hubs while in RWD (Rear Wheel Drive). This free wheeling option eliminates wear and tear on the u-joints, sun bearing and surrounding components increasing the life span on the front drivetrain components. This reduces the overall cost of maintenance and repairs.
In addition to saving fuel, manual locking hubs also reduce brake pad wear as the vehicle requires less energy to start and stop. Drivers will notice faster acceleration and improved braking when front wheels are disengaged and allowed to spin freely.
